“Education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom” - George Washington Carver
What does this quote mean? Well, basically, it means that without education, no man would ever get anywhere. Right now some people may be laughing, but to be honest, it is actually true. For example, if I did not know how to read, then I would not be able to read the street signs, read important letters, read the warnings on each item, and so much more! Therefore, I won't be able to do anything in my life - no freedom. In addition, another example of this quote will be in the book The Book Thief. In this book, there is a little girl named Liesel who does not know how to read yet she craves to know how to so she can read books. Again - no freedom. If you were to relate this quote to real life, then one example would be an old man my mom and I met in the library. Unfortunately, he could not write because he was never taught how to write so he made my mom write whatever he wanted so he can give the letter my mom was writing to his best friend. As you can see, education is the key point to having freedom, or in other words, a happier life. Without education, we will never have the freedom to do some things in are life. Overall, education is a very essential factor in are lives that we can never miss... even if it is not as entertaining as watching T.V! ;););););)
